A nursery for film buffs and vintage lovers

Photographer Julia Boggio put together this stunning nursery for her baby girl taking inspiration from film and adding vintage touches. In case you are not familiar with Julia’s blog I carried a watermelon (and if you’re not we suggest you head over there as we love Julia’s blog), Julia and her husband were the couple who started the craze for fun first dances by posting the video of them doing the Dirty Dancing dance at their wedding on you tube (see the video here).

Julia wanted a nod to Dirty Dancing in the nursery and created this with canvases using a quote from Dirty Dancing alongside ones from Star Wars and The Sound of Music. We love how these canvases and one of Julia’s maternity photos are the center piece of the room. We also love how simply changing the handles on a simple white chest of draws adds such fun pops of red. How fantastic is the camera rug as well, for the daughter of a professional photographer? If you want to read more about all the fun Julia had putting together this nursery see her blog here and here.

Thank you to Julia for letting us feature your fantastic nursery.

Don’t forget if you are have a children’s room or nursery that you think is worth sharing with our readers, please email a selection of photos and as many details as you can to greatbritishfamily@gmail.com
